Editorial review by BacklinkView.

Effective date: September 5, 2026

1. What does this Privacy Policy cover?

This Privacy Policy explains how BacklinkView ("BacklinkView," "we," "us," or "our") handles personal information when you use the BacklinkView website, Workspace, Managed Services, Contact page, and related features.

Who controls personal information?

BacklinkView determines how personal information is used for these Services. For privacy questions or rights requests, contact the BacklinkView Team at [email protected].

2. What personal information does BacklinkView collect?

Depending on how you use BacklinkView, we may collect:

Account and Workspace information

  • Account information: name, email address, authentication provider identifiers, profile image, email-verification state, and account security information.
  • Policy acceptance: for email registration, whether Terms and Privacy were accepted, the accepted policy versions, and a server-recorded acceptance time. Google sign-in does not create this email-registration acceptance record.
  • Workspace information: Product names, domains, descriptions, categories, logos, private Backlink Records, and supported domain or traffic metrics.

Orders, payments, and communications

  • Managed Service information: selected Product, Service Offers, Order and Order Item identifiers, price, currency, delivery estimate, required materials, submitted text and URLs, material revisions, service progress, expected dates, administrator notes, failure explanations, delivery records, and external-refund records.
  • Payment information: Checkout and payment identifiers, payment status, amount, currency, and refund metadata. Stripe processes complete card details; BacklinkView does not store your full card number.
  • Communications: Contact form name, email address, message, and emails exchanged about support, service delivery, refunds, or warranty matters. The Contact form sends the message to our support inbox and does not create a Contact ticket in the BacklinkView application database.

Technical and optional marketing information

  • Technical information: IP address, device and browser information, request logs, cookie or session identifiers, security signals, and diagnostic data produced when you use the Services.
  • Optional marketing information: your email address and subscription state when you separately choose to receive BacklinkView product updates.

3. Why does BacklinkView use personal information?

We use personal information to:

  • create, authenticate, secure, and support accounts;
  • provide the Workspace and keep customer Products and Backlink Records private;
  • create Checkout sessions, confirm payment, and reconcile external refunds;
  • review customer materials and fulfill Managed Service Order Items;
  • display item-level progress, delays, delivery records, notes, and refund state;
  • send requested support responses and essential transactional messages;
  • send optional marketing messages only after separate opt-in;
  • detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms;
  • maintain, troubleshoot, analyze, and improve the Services; and
  • comply with legal obligations and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Which legal bases may apply?

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, and legal obligations as appropriate to the activity.

4. Which service providers help operate BacklinkView?

We use service providers to operate BacklinkView. They process information only for their applicable service and under their own terms and privacy commitments.

Payments and email delivery

  • Stripe: Checkout, payment confirmation, fraud prevention, receipts, and refunds. Review the Stripe Privacy Policy for Stripe's own data practices.
  • Resend: account, transactional, optional newsletter, and Contact-form email delivery. Review the Resend Privacy Policy for Resend's own data practices.

Authentication and abuse prevention

  • Google OAuth: optional Google sign-in using the permissions shown by Google. Google's handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy and its OAuth 2.0 policies.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: bot and abuse prevention when the challenge is enabled. Cloudflare describes Turnstile's security signals in its Turnstile documentation and Privacy Policy.

Infrastructure and measurement

  • Hosting, database, and object-storage providers: application delivery, account and Order data, backups, logs, and Product logos or other supported assets.
  • Analytics and performance providers: limited site and performance information only when the corresponding production integration is enabled.

We do not describe a dormant integration as an active processor. The providers actually used may change as BacklinkView's infrastructure changes, and this Policy will be updated when required.

5. When does BacklinkView share personal information?

We may share information:

  • with the service providers described above;
  • with publishers or placement partners to the extent reasonably necessary to review materials and deliver a purchased Service Offer;
  • when you direct or authorize the sharing;
  • to comply with law, lawful process, or enforceable government requests;
  • to protect customers, BacklinkView, publishers, or the public from fraud, abuse, security threats, or unlawful activity; or
  • in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.

BacklinkView does not sell personal information for money. We do not use private customer materials for unrelated advertising.

6. Is personal information processed internationally?

BacklinkView and its providers may process information in more than one country. Privacy and data-protection laws may differ between those locations. Where required, we use contractual or other lawful safeguards for international transfers.

7. How long does BacklinkView retain information?

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing the Services, completing Orders, handling refunds and the 90-day warranty, maintaining security, resolving disputes, and meeting accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, backup, or other legal obligations.

Retention varies by category. Account and ordinary Workspace information may be deleted or irreversibly anonymized when no longer needed. Order, payment, refund, delivery records, and related communications may be retained longer when reasonably required for transaction integrity or legal compliance. Security logs and backups are removed through normal access-controlled rotation.

What happens after an account-deletion request?

An account-deletion request does not automatically erase records that BacklinkView reasonably must retain for payment, refunds, service delivery, warranties, fraud prevention, disputes, or law. We may delete or irreversibly anonymize direct account and Workspace identifiers that are no longer needed while preserving the minimum commercial record and a non-reversible integrity reference.

8. What privacy rights and choices may apply?

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; or complain to a data-protection authority. These rights may be subject to verification and legal exceptions.

The European Commission's information for individuals explains GDPR rights, while the California Attorney General's CCPA guide describes rights available under California law. These official resources provide general information; the rights that apply to a particular request depend on the relevant law and circumstances.

“You can obtain access to the personal data held about you.” — European Commission

How can you submit a privacy request?

Email [email protected] to make a privacy request. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify your identity and authority before disclosing, changing, exporting, or deleting information.

How can you control marketing messages?

Newsletter consent is optional and separate from account registration. You may unsubscribe using the link or preference control provided for those messages. Transactional messages about account security, payment, service delivery, or requested support are not marketing subscriptions.

9. How does BacklinkView use cookies and similar technologies?

BacklinkView uses cookies or similar technologies required for authentication, security, language, and core operation. Optional analytics or performance technologies are used only when the corresponding production feature is enabled and subject to any consent required by applicable law.

10. How does BacklinkView protect personal information?

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your credentials and notifying us about suspected unauthorized access.

11. Does BacklinkView knowingly collect information from children?

The Services are intended for business and professional users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information to BacklinkView.

12. How will changes to this Privacy Policy be communicated?

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the revised version with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required by law. Material changes apply prospectively unless applicable law requires otherwise.

13. How can you contact BacklinkView about privacy?

For privacy questions or rights requests, contact the BacklinkView Team at [email protected]. We aim to provide an initial response within two business days, although identity verification and applicable legal response periods may take longer.
